TLC is proud to be part of the British Institutes Group as the main center in Florence, Italy.  The British Institutes Group, in operation since 1975, is offers both language courses based on their own syllabus and taught using the English Communicative Method (ECM) and a comprehensive testing services (UCAS accredited) that results in the British Institutes certificate. British Institutes operates with the government authorization, EU Member State and issues the certificate that is usable throughout the entire European Union.

General Group Courses

Our general English group courses run on semester-long schedules and each full level is approximately 90 hours of study.  Our calendar runs from October through May and special short courses are offered during June and July.  Each student who successfully completes each level will have the option to sit for the British Institutes exam, which certifies the student's CEF level and is valid in the entire EU, at no added cost!

Private Lessons

For the maximum level of individualized study, the busy business person or student may opt for our private lessons.  While the syllabus will always reflect the CEF framework, we choose the topics, activities, and material that best match your individual needs.  Our instructors are well-versed in various fields of study and we boast 100% student satisfaction of these top-quality lessons.  A complete needs analysis will be done, at no cost to you, in order to ensure we meet your specific objectives and goals for your English language study.

On-Site English Courses At Your Place of Business

We know that in today's global society you are busy and may not have time to come to our school, so we will come to you.  All we ask is that you clear your mind during the lesson and we will deliver the same high-quality instruction to you and your colleagues in the comfort of your office.  A detailed needs analysis will be done, at no cost to you, in order to ensure we meet the goals and objectives for your market.

English for Young Learners Courses

After school, the last thing that your child wants to do is sit through another boring English lesson.  That's why with TLC, English after school is a dynamic, project-filled, fun experience.  With our native English speaking teachers, your child will forget he or she is in English class and will immerse him or herself in the English experience.  This methodology is imperative for language acquisition, and you'll be amazed at the results.

We're also happy to announce that our students can take part in a pen-pal project with a partner school in the USA!   What a meaningful experience it is to exchange information and share ideas with an American friend!

TLC is authorized to teach using the Montessori method and is authorized to use the Montessori name in its material.  We do adhere to the principles of this method for Very Young Learners.
